Counseling for Well-Being

Hi, I’m
Cheri

Licensed Professional Counselor  ·  she/her

I’m glad you’re here. Whether you’re starting your counseling journey or continuing on a lifelong path of self-discovery, finding a new counselor can feel overwhelming. I get it — and I’ve helped hundreds of people take the first step into the next chapter of their lives.

“Meaningful change happens when you feel truly seen, heard, and understood — and that is exactly what I am here for.”

About My Work

I have been working with individuals and families since 2000, across a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, ages, and life circumstances — from age 5 to 100. My philosophy is that each person has a unique worldview that guides their decisions, values, and priorities, and that these must be honored throughout the therapeutic relationship in order to achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not like yourself, I offer a space where you can slow down, make sense of what is happening, and begin to feel more steady and in control again. I specialize in anxiety, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation, and I provide both in-person and telehealth sessions to meet you where you are.

Sessions explore how self-talk shapes perception, introduce new ways of looking at situations, and use reframing to open new possibilities. I bring humor, stories, and genuine warmth to the work — you are encouraged to come exactly as you are, even if it is messy. Pets are always welcome in session.

Career & Community

A significant part of my career has been spent working alongside Native American individuals and families in northern Arizona. These experiences deeply shaped my understanding of culture, community, and resilience, and I carry that perspective into my work today with respect and humility.

Beyond the Session

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me outside with my family — skiing, hiking, or kayaking here in the mountains. Spending time in nature is one of the ways I stay grounded and mindful, and it’s something I often encourage my clients to explore in their own way as well.
